With a direct lead vocal in the center of the mix, the compression, the layers of synth fuzz, and the chorus breaks, this is an original and commanding ambient production. The mix here explores the connection between techno-pop and modern elements of drone.

The melodic hook that will pierce you like an arrow to the heart is what bridges the gap, from electronic into pop; a brooding harmonium and a handful of power chords to lead the way. It feels like an ode to the power of a dangerous proposition: weighing the possibility that reality is better than fiction, or that it isn’t.

Tennessee-turned-New Yorker studied Music Technology at NYU and draws from the psychedelic, otherworldly sounds and big pop hooks to create her own blend of electro-pop. This song is featured on our Groovy Summer playlist.
