Mumm-ra formed in the year 2000, when it was called the millennium and had its own bug. Although they found a fame of sorts in the mid-noughties touring with the likes of The Killers, The Kooks, and The Horrors, Mumm-ra’s long and rich history begins at school in and around Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex.

Their top-40 debut album, "These Things Move in Threes," was quickly embraced by tastemakers around the globe, while their single "She’s Got You High" was featured in the film 500 Days of Summer and has since become something of a torch-song - clocking up over 18 million Spotify plays and inspiring shameless, let’s-hug-each-other joy at weddings and discos across the land.

Now, in 2020, Mumm-ra are about to release their first single in 13 years. "Summer" provides 3 minutes of pure pop joy, and extends Mumm-ra's tradition of delivering feel-good anthems with hints of retro-synth and a hummable melody. Mumm-ra explores what would happen if The Cure and Franz Ferdinand decided to write an uptempo love song together, combining dreamy guitar hooks with snappy drum sounds and a feeling of emotional warmth. "Summer" provides the lustrous and irresistible optimism that we all need right now. Welcome back, Mumm-ra!
