This song feels immediately familiar. Of course it's a simple progression, that ubiquitous acoustic guitar strum with just a little extra definition, and the washy layers of piano and vocal. In any case, it goes by like a slow car ride with the window down: relaxed, uncluttered, and intimately navigable.

Called simply Summer, this new release from WILD sounds like the soundtrack to a long, colorful sunset, full of instant memories and cold beer. The duet harmony gives it depth, and the lyrics paint a pacific getaway, spent lost between the highway and the sea.

WILD is a 3-piece band from Los Angeles made up of Lauren Luiz, Zach DeGaetano, and Tyler Thompson. This song is featured on our Roots Collection playlist.
