Country Roots from Alberta. - Corb Lund x Ian Tyson: Ride On (Music Video)

When we feel utterly alone, there is always the redemptive sorcery of starting over, which Lund finds on horseback: across the raging river, riding into the forest of tomorrow.

Rolling Stone Country put Corb Lund on their list of '10 New Country Artists You Need to Know,' and it is not hard to see why. Corb's distinct blend of Americana and rootsy alt-country is rugged and unapologetic, and touches on the only proven remedy for heartbreak: the open road.

Along with his band, the Hurtin’ Albertans, Lund tours extensively throughout Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Australia. Currently signed to New West Records, Lund is an eight-time Canadian Country Music Awards Roots Artist of the Year, the 2017 BreakOut West Roots Solo Artist of the Year, and has many other awards and accolades, including a JUNO Award, under his belt. Ride On, which brings Lund together with frequent collaborator, tour-mate, and Country legend Ian Tyson, begins in the dim light of a juke-joint, with photos and memories on the wall. Lund leans on the corner of a road-case, strums his acoustic guitar, and uncovers his lonely heart for all to see. When the bottle is empty, and the sun has begun to rise; when all the bridges have burned; when we feel utterly alone, there is always the redemptive sorcery of starting over, which Lund finds on horseback: across the raging river, riding into the forest of tomorrow.
