Berklee Grad Looks Inward. - Listen to Ariza: Someday

Juan Carreno Ariza recently graduated Summa Cum Laude in Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music. We wrote about him last year, and he is back with another sonic complexion of electronic indie-pop.
What I love about Ariza is his willingness to take risks, and a truly exceptional sense for poly-rhythmic groove. For example, at 48 seconds, the way that beat drops in is nothing short of genius. His style seems to be in a constant state of flux, bound only by inspiration itself, as he explores his triple-threat talents of performance, voice, and production. With a popular remix of UK band The Staves' No Me, No You, No More currently released under Atlantic Records UK, his chops are well-known. Someday is a moody visitation with the type of self-doubt that terrifies us, yet also drives our ambitions, delivered in the modern and hook-laden style that is uniquely Ariza.
We decide to accept ourselves as broken, and it feels good.
I look into the eyes of what I fear
Sinking deep in my disguise I just want to sit still
Bilingual artist Ariza has been releasing solo music for about a year, amassing more than one million streams on Spotify. This song is featured on our CHILL NEW Songwriters playlist.
