Something about that vocal attitude sounds like Grace Slick, and the classic rock-band sound adds to that throwback feeling. With subtle elements of psychedelic rock as well, Julez is able to sustain a thread of sophistication, and pulls us with it into each chorus.

The guitar is suitably blaring, the reverb extra springy, it's midnight at the Fillmore and it's 1976. It's a fast number with pitch-perfect drunk wisdom and a straight party vibe. Who brought the bourbon?
