Those of you following our Spotify playlists will have noticed that we are including some Trip-Hop and some downtempo stuff, and this is a great example of why. A lot of what is exciting about music right now is happening in the electronic space. Tethered is a Radiohead-inspired retrospective musing on the musical canvas of a sequencer.

With the deep groove here, the belly moan vocals, and the gurgling synth-bass, this is a modern sound (call it what you will) that reflects some of the best of what we call roots: the natural feel, the simple verse cadence, the plaintive melodic progression, and the personal investment from the lyrical voice. It's a perfect add for any Minimal Electronic playlist because it has the soul of a story that has been lived.

This song is currently featured on our CHILL Angeles playlist.
