We are open to submissions from all walks of life. Please visit our info page for the CHILLFILTR mission statement.
NB: We will be closing down submissions soon. End of year prizes will be awarded, and our submissions for the Pushcart prize will go out by the end of the month.
The CHILLFILTR Review publishes poetry, memoirs, short stories, and personal essays on a rolling basis. Every year in September we curate a best-of collection from the previous year of submissions. Our scope is wide, but in general we are looking for work that explores the nexus between humanity, spirituality, and life experience. We do not deny the validity of the basic categories of physics, biology, psychology, and the other sciences: we claim only that human beings cannot be fully understood in terms of them. Thus, art.
Please keep your submissions to no more than 3,000 words.
All featured works will receive an honorarium of $20, and will be published on The CHILLFILTR Review. Year-end "Best Of" winners will receive an additional $100 cash prize.
We ask for exclusive electronic rights to your work for 3 months, which will then revert to non-exclusive online archival rights. We also ask that if you reprint, you give us credit for first publication. Finally, if you are selected for the Best Of compilation you will be asked for first North American serial rights, or in some cases, reprint rights for North America if your work has already appeared in print.
