Geneva, Illinois: family pop-rock band SM6 has created an anthem for those of us that never quite fit in. As their track "Oddity" became a hit on TikTok and YouTube, SM6 went through an intense experience as they faced a backlash of criticism and thinly-veiled jealousy. Their quick rise to fame gave detractors an easy target, but SM6 has proven once again that there's nothing like family. "Oddity" encourages others to embrace their own individuality and not give in to misguided social pressures.

The band members - George (keys), Isabel (vocals, bass), Adam (guitar), Emily (drums), Eliana (percussion), and Jack (guitar) - are clapping back at the haters, and with more than 1 billion views on TikTok, they have much to celebrate. The song they wrote about the bullying and judgment they overcame together as a group, has come to lionize the plight of the underdog. As a collective can become more than the sum of its parts, so can misfits come together in solidarity - to create art, awareness, or simply a sense of belonging.

"We want this song to be a reminder to everyone that has been outcast or feels a little different, you’re not alone. We’re all oddities, we’re all a little O.D.D." – SM6
