Michael Suddes is an indie folk singer-songwriter who blends honesty and optimism with a laid-back folk persona that might remind you of a cross between Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver. With a subtle, understated production aesthetic, "Dragonfly" is a captivating song that explores the magic of human connection, and the power of personal conviction. The combination of rhythmic acoustic guitar and a kick drum pulse builds to a hypnotic flow that delivers a sort of Lofi, organic experience.
Raised in Connecticut, Michael picked up a guitar at 13 and from that point on, set out to find his distinct musical voice. Equally attracted to the introspective songwriting that is typical of the Pacific Northwest, as well as the multitimbral and cerebral polyphonies of modern jazz, Suddes create a conversation between Instruments that lays the groundwork for his emotional lyrics, and cathartic melancholy. Channeling sincerity and confidence in equal measure, "Dragonfly" speaks to the role of romantic love through the course of human experience, leaving soft footprint of spiritual warmth.
I use words I can’t define
You trace every little thing back
To your zodiac signs
A two-faced moon can talk all night
Everything it can feel wrong in the search for right
Count to ten, it’ll be brand new
Cause I’ve worked hard to see this through
Don’t ask me how I have no clue
I guess I made up my own rules

Michael Suddes' new album ‘Out of My Hands’, produced by Sam Weber, is set to release later this month.
