Bouncy Electro Pop from Portland. - Zoë Ferguson: Medicine
Krister Axel
2
In 2016, 15-year-old Zoë Ferguson began writing songs as a way of coping with high-school: the difficult experiences, and the breakups. Her father, musician and singer Bart Ferguson, is a familiar performer in the Portland music scene, and Zoë grew up with music and songwriting in her blood.
Her latest track Medicine is an electro-pop gem that processes the feelings of rejection and self-incrimination that come with allowing yourself to be vulnerable with someone. In the struggle towards connection, Ferguson gives words to that moment of sadness when we miss the person that was wrong for us anyway. Zoë Ferguson delivers a beautiful moment of personal redemption, with a deep electronic groove and a bubbly synth-bass, that is perfect for anyone bouncing back from a bad relationship.
