Billy Keane is a founding member of indie-rock group The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow, a collective of singer-songwriters backed by Wilco's Pat Sansone on bass and ex-Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman. His new release "Never Give Up" is a beautiful and bittersweet song, inspired by and released under quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic.

"Never Give Up" was written and recorded at home in a flash of inspiration just as the nation was ordered to shelter in place. This dreamy, folk-styled anthem combines a simple figure on acoustic guitar with an instantly infectious melody and Keane's gritty, emotional tenor. With the subtle additions of percussion, piano, and synthesizer, The Real Billy Keane delivers a sense of community, in the laid-back, pop-friendly musical space between Iron & Wine and Luke Sital-Singh. In this heartfelt and uplifting ode to strength, solidarity, and perseverance, we fight for a hopeful future, even as we learn to lean on each other in times of stress.

When you are weary
Please know that it's true
I know that you'll be there for me honey
I'll be there
I'll be there for you
I know you're strong enough
Let me hear you say no, I'll never give up
The night is long, the road is rough
Let me hear you say no, I'll never give up
