UK-based group TENDER are back with new music from a forthcoming record due for release in 2026. Latest single "Gravity/Infinity" brings a healthy dose of both energy and groove to the mix, centered on the theme of a love so grand, so purposeful, that even the cosmos itself couldn’t alter it. A short intro frames this full-throated celebration of life's unplanned ecstasy with a lively bass line and layers of crunchy guitar, extending across a wondrous landscape of acoustic drums, synthesizers, background melodies, and subtle woodwinds.
One day I will give you my heart
Be a part of me baby
Gravity couldn’t pull us apart
Love me like infinity yeah
James Cullen and Dan Cobb formed the duo in 2015, and since then have become masters in the balance between the intimacy of bedroom pop, and the type of stadium-sized ambition that informs their writing style. With compositions that fit well within the genre of alt pop that artists like Zola Blood and Anderson.Paak call home, TENDER is ready build on the success of previous releases like FLUX and Modern Addiction.
Their personal lives are now more settled, as both members are now based on the south coast – Cobb in Brighton and Cullen in Portsmouth. TENDER continues to write and produce, trading files back and forth from their respective homes, building a catalog of unique tunes that interrogate the opposing sides of all humans with honesty and an unmistakable artistic presence. I personally have spun this track twice so far on KSKQ, and I plan to play it quite a bit more.
