SPORTS - Keep Falling In Love

It feels like this kind of easy-going groove with a nod to both disco and synthpop is making a resurgence in popular music, and Oklahoma-based dream pop duo Sports are certainly driving that connection. This long-standing collaboration between Christian Theriot and Cale Chronister delivers another warm and emotionally disarming track with latest single "Keep Falling In Love."

We tracked the song in a single day at Salvation Studios in Brighton, a rare moment of everything falling into place. It’s a love song for my wife, who I’ve been with since I was 16, and who was with us in the studio that day. The song is about the way we’ve grown and changed together, yet keep choosing each other - it’s about gratitude, and about love being the most important thing to sing about.

My favorite kind of songwriting always comes directly from personal experience, and this song is no exception to that. In a combination of lush and psychedelic textures, Sports dig in to their genre of choice–dream pop–with a shimmering ode to the way love grows and changes over time. Choosing to self-produce marks an important shift that reflects a new sense of creative freedom and artistic control, as Sports announce their long-awaited 2026 headline tour across the US, Canada, and Europe.

I don't wanna know what life feels like without you, babe
I don't know why I would even try

We were impressed by the high quality of production, the laid-back vocal presence, and the organic elements that come together in such a beautiful synergy. Big reverbs, a funky bass-line, and a strong sense of intimacy are some of the highlights from this reinvention of an old demo: sometimes the right lyric can transform a song completely. In this case, the lyric was I know it’s true cause I keep falling in love.

True love is a beautiful thing, and this catchy, layered pop jam is a near-perfect representation of that.
