Her third release of this year, Sofi Gev drops latest track "Shakedown." With an eclectic sound that is perfect for fans of My Brightest Diamond, Bat for Lashes, and Gabrielle Aplin, Sofi Gev pours her heart into every song and is always grateful for the opportunity to make music that people enjoy.

Hannah Lovelady, aka Sofi Gev, has been writing songs from her home in Utah since releasing her debut track "Burn Like Stars" in 2018. Her earliest and most enduring musical influence came from her father, who sang Joni Mitchell songs to her at night as a child. She then honed her sense of melody by improvising from the words of cookbook recipes while her father accompanied her on acoustic guitar.

Her music layers introspective, offbeat lyrics and delicate vocals over a dreamy blend of folk, bedroom pop, and indietronica. Hidden behind a snare-driven rock beat, "Shakedown" offers a sound that is both uncompromising and intimate—mixing feelings of helpless rage with the kind of empowering catharsis that only passionate music can provide. If you listen closely, you will hear the sound of an honest woman bravely confronting the forces of destiny.

Into the darkness with my eyes wide open
Just give me something brighter
That makes me feel like I can walk on water
Can’t wait forever
It’s now or never
