It’s that moment where you have to come to terms with your own vulnerability. Falling in love means being ready to have your heart broken. The core of this song is everyone’s greatest fear: of not being good enough.

We are born confident, surely; but this world has a way of making us afraid. The chosen title, Phobia, is apt in that it paints the impulse outside of natural humanity. It’s not real fear; it’s phobic:

“The only fear I have is one day you’ll wake up
and you’ll get sick of me
and I won’t be what you need”— Savannah Sgro

With breathtaking harmony and a gorgeous sense of melody, Savannah Sgro’s new single Phobia delivers a layered and emotional tribute to the turmoil of self-doubt, and the need for closeness.

Savannah Sgro is a singer and songwriter from Nashville. This song is featured on our CHILL Angeles playlist.
