Rio Sterling is a recent graduate from Access Creative College – the UK's answer to Berkelee College of Music – which has launched the careers of heavyweights like Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, and Flo. His debut single POV is full of classic soul-pop vibes, as Sterling explores his personal connection to the seminal work of creative masterminds like Marvin Gaye and Donny Hathaway. Now touring with a 9 piece band made up of students from Brits School and ELAM, Rio leverages his powerful voice against a backdrop of soul & roots.

Having spent the summer singing in RAYE's choir as part of her flames collective, Rio's voice is ready to be heard. "POV" matches a clean riff on the electric guitar with a lively melody, along with some gorgeous backup vocals and a buttery bass line. Rio Sterling is set to pick up right where Fitz & the Tantrums has left off, breathing new fire into the classic soul era. If the rest of his releases are anywhere nearly as good as this one, the future looks bright for this young soul crooner.
