Postcard Boy is the lo-fi pop project of Garrett Seamans, a San Diego native who builds his own musical world from the confines of a dormitory. "Company" is a song about loneliness and the missing sense of belonging when we spend too much time away from other people.

This first single from upcoming EP "Limbo" contrasts an introspective and emotionally vulnerable premise with an upbeat production. The video for this song was shot with a 360 camera, and features Postcard Boy walking around Hollywood with a selfie stick. With the ability for viewers to interact with the video by rotating the camera as they wish, this innovative video exposes the stretch of Hollywood boulevard between Vine and LaBrea in a way that is both disarming and endearing. With qualities that are both voyeuristic and deeply personal, we watch Postcard Boy emote to his own track over a backdrop of metropolitan diversity and futuristic bedroom-pop. "Company" is a window into the future as technology continues to play a vital role in bridging the gap between individuality and collective experience. This contemplative track asks the question: if we enjoy solitude, are we still entitled to some form of social connection?

Not the type to call
I like privacy and time to me
But I really need company

Postcard Boy is also known for his photography and video work, done under the name "phylm." This song is featured on our CHILL Angeles playlist.
