Planet Of Souls is the new collaborative project from producers Paul Rogers and Tom Barlow, born from a desire to fuse heartfelt songwriting with rhythmic electronic pop. "No Way Back" is the first single from their upcoming album "Lumiere," featuring a lovely collaboration with vocalist Nicki Wells. Barlowe and Rogers are united by a passion for analog synths and the golden era of ’90s and ’00s electronica, as they both bring a healthy amount of previous experience to the table: Rogers with top-tier artists like UNKLE, Sasha, Pete Tong, and Gorillaz, and Barlow with extensive work under Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat imprint. Together, their work has already gained support from BBC Radio 1, NOTION, and DMY, as well as a sync feature with Netflix’s "The Survivor."

"No Way Back" blends a soothing arrangement for strings with an impressive vocal performance from Wells, pushing a circular chord progression into the realm of ethereal trip-hop, blurring the lines between cinematic, downtempo, alt-pop and electronic music.

This haunting track was also featured in the Feb 11 episode of The Weekly Catch on KSKQ.

Nicki Wells is a multidisciplinary artist whose music blends Indian classical, Celtic folk, Eastern European choral traditions, and Western pop into a sound that feels both ancient and contemporary.
