Owen Denvir with his new single and video Human Touch, shows us the look of a young Rick Astley and the precision of a classical violist high on spring reverb. A sharp cluster of harmonies rings in the track a la Jacob Collier, and from there the tight 1-bar shuffle takes us away.

Some interesting production decisions keep this track from sounding common - there are bells, some synth pads with a decided New Wave spin, and a simple slap-back delay on the electric guitar which creates a lot of atmosphere.

At its heart Human Touch is a crooner track, a love letter to affection and human contact. Owen Denvir pulls together stylistic elements from the last few decades and reassembles them beneath an endearing and impossibly smooth lead vocal.
