In such a sociopolitically volatile time, I think it becomes even more important to encourage independent music making, and creative expression in general. No matter what happens to our democracy, the music and the art that is being written right now will echo this sentiments of an entire generation. No pressure. :)
Bruce Springsteen, of course, has jumped right out in front of that trend and created a song that doubles as a rallying cry for the besieged citizens of Minneapolis, and beyond. But I'm also very interested in the kind of personal expression that extends from the indie genre as a whole: that's why I created The Weekly Catch. Every week, we share new songs with our listeners in the Rogue Valley, and around the world.
