My Terrible Friend - Almost Gone

It quickly becomes a folky wall of sound, and when the sultry head voice crackles from the tube gain, its like a pot of soup that almost boils over from the heat.

It sounds so simple: put a foot stomp down, break out the acoustic guitar, and write a song that can live on melody alone. With some sharp lyrics and a cadence stolen from the Blues, My Terrible Friend is able to build up a track from nothing, using a pluck-heavy arrangement that feels textural from the inadvertent percussion of all that fingerpicking.

It quickly becomes a folky wall of sound, and when the sultry head voice crackles from the tube gain, it's like a pot of soup that almost boils over from the heat. But the footsteps keep coming, and just when it's about to be too big, the arrangement falls away to nothing.

And that voice will lead you home.
