NYC duo Marian Hill are ready to share their new EP "was it not," featuring dark, minimalistic track "eat u alive" in collaboration with Steve Davit on saxophone. A mix of trap-influenced percussion, sultry vocals, and infectious melody creates a raucous and aggressive statement about the addictive nature of personal connection, and the delicious anticipation that comes with it.

Marian Hill is comprised of producer Jeremy Lloyd and vocalist Samantha Gongol, who released their debut EP, "Play," in 2013. Their lightning-fast career ascent has earned them praise from the likes of The New York Times, TIME Magazine, and KCRW, along with a feature in an AirPods commercial by Apple for their song "Down." By matching a unique and gritty musical aesthetic with a flair for adventure, the music of Marian Hill marries the unfiltered, urban magic of NYC with a diverse range of sonic influences. An understated layer of polished groove simmers behind the prominent saxophone melody, and a buttery vocal performance from Gongol leaves us enamored from start to finish.

This song is featured on our Groovy Summer playlist.
