Hollywood actor Kristofer Hivju has had quite a career since breaking through as Tormund Giantsbane on Game of Thrones. It was a fantastic performance and a great role for him–he's gone on to star in Fast and the Furious 8, and The Witcher, with more to come. This holiday season he has teamed up with singer-songwriter Luke Elliot on a Christmas-themed pop song. Together they breathe new life into the classic "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," written in 1963 by Edward Pola and George Wyle for Andy Williams, to be featured on his first Christmas album, The Andy Williams Christmas Album. Oddly, his label at the time, Columbia Records, decided instead to feature Williams's cover of White Christmas on the album, so this song was subsequently released as a B-side.

In any case, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" went on to be a consistent Christmas top five in recent decades, and here we see the classic elements played up: the festive piano, the glockenspiel, a gorgeous orchestra, choirs of children, and a spoken word intro. It's a heartwarming and authentic performance, that brings together Elliot's musicality and multi-faceted production chops with Hivju's weighty yet somehow still playful presence. This one song is a fantastic addition to any holiday playlist; & now you have a reason to start talking about Wildlings again.

Luke Elliot was born & raised in New Jersey, but, as an artist, he frequented the tri-state area. Currently, Luke enjoys an international artist’s profile, touring extensively in the U.S., Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, and other parts of Europe.
