This straight-ahead instrumental hip-hop jam has some ethereal elements, but stands tall as a shuffle-groove worthy of Bernard Purdie himself. We were very proud to approve our first submission from the Republic of Korea.
The live drum performance is the star of the show, along with a sidestepping bass riff that drives the aggressive 16-note emphasis. Gateway To The Real World is a satisfying mix of minimal electronic and hip hop beats, from newcomer Lisofv.
