We've written about Khamari before. His second single this year "Tell Me" brings us back to his roots in Soul, with a breakup ballad that captures 'the moment when there are no answers left to unbreak a heart.' Produced by Khamari with the help of regular collaborator Trackside, and co-written by Kyle Lux, the musical side of this slow burner is topped off with Oscar Brown III's passionate guitar chops and a bass performance by Andrés Rebellón–one of Cuco's main collaborators.

"Tell Me" features a sticky, easygoing groove, a buttery bass line, and layers of Khamari's signature vocal presence: warm, intimate, and full of passion. Khamari now prepares for his next exciting chapter, following up on his wonderfully left-of-center cover of Jackson Browne's 'Doctor My Eyes' which quickly became one of his most requested tracks. This plaintive, personal lament recalls a bit of D'Angelo magic from his "Voodoo" classic, with a beat that won't quit and a guitar solo that hints at both Jazz and RnB influences.

Tell me is about that feeling of insecurity you get in a relationship while watching it deteriorate from the inside. Dealing with the vacuum of doubt and confusion that bad communication leaves, but not acting on it because you’re hopeful it’ll work itself out. — Khamari
