Born in Morocco and splitting time between London, Los Angeles and Casablanca, rising pop star Ghita infuses her unique style of effervescent pop with flavors of RnB, hip hop, and an affinity for the music of North Africa. Her powerful new single "Out Of My Life" was produced by Grammy-winning production team The Stereotypes, whose credits include hit singles for Bruno Mars and Cardi B.

The enigmatic accompanying music video was filmed in London by Jimi Drosinos, and cuts between two distinct narratives - exploring the contrast in emotion between early days of a blossoming romance, and the harsh reality of a sudden separation. The theme of this highly-polished, electro-pop / commercial crossover is the difficult process of keeping a strong friendship with someone after the relationship is over. For Ghita, this track is personal: when you genuinely care for someone, it is hard to walk away.

Ghita (pronounced Rita) was raised between her homeland of Morocco and Switzerland. It was an upbringing that exposed her to contrasting worlds and cultures throughout her childhood, which ultimately also influences her music and vocal style. She left Switzerland for Boston to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music before relocating to Los Angeles. With just four self-released singles to date, Ghita has already landed a coveted feature on Spotify’s Global Viral Top 50, and topped more than 5 million streams. Determined to further propel herself into the modern pop landscape with new track "Out Of My Life," Ghita delivers a slick mix of old romance and self-discovery with equal parts passionate vocal delivery and sticky melodic hooks.

In addition to English, Ghita sings in French and Arabic. She got her first big break opening for Maroon 5 at the Mawazine music festival in Morocco. This song is featured on our CHILL Angeles playlist.
