Dissolved Girl - Dirty Tricks

It's a long intro, and definitely worth it. Dissolved Girl is a four piece band from London, brought together by a shared love of 90s trip hop, alt rock, and complex soundscapes. There is an element of Portishead, perhaps, but also a modern and industrial sound that even moves beyond that aesthetic. Dissolved Girl brings us a fresh fusion of raw emotion and sophistication. It is old, and it is new. Celebrating a mix of sultry vocals and powerful beats, "Dirty Tricks" pushes the boundaries of pop in a way that is both unexpected and inevitable.
Produced in collaboration with Dani Castelar, a four-time number one hitmaker known for shaping the sound of some of the biggest names in music (Paulo Nutini), Dirty Tricks is a confident step further forward for the band.
Working with Dani on the production, and Drew at Narcissus studios in the engineering, was an incredible experience," says Claire, lead vocalist and co-songwriter for Dissolved Girl. "They gave us the confidence to keep most of what we already had, and fold in live instruments that were expertly recorded by Drew. Dani also has an incredible knack to give the mix an aggressive and exciting edge. It’s probably our favorite track we’ve released so far.
