Australian-born singer-songwriter Dan Krochmal has been making a name for himself since his arrival to the United States. On e example was in In November 2020, when Dan was scouted to privately audition for American Idol. After successfully completing two rounds of producer auditions, he was flown to California, where he performed for Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan. Another good example was in June, 2024, where he performed a two-hour set for the international delegates at the United Nations. You could say that Dan's music is on the cusp of a breakthrough. His vocal presence is bright and full of emotion.
Latest track "Don't Keep the Pain" finds Dan exploring the depth of personal conflict, building from a whisper to an explosive finale. We feel the blows of every moment of suffering, every let-down, along with the fire of redemption. This powerful song offers a measure of hope for anyone fighting with their own demons. For me, the star of this song is the vocal performance, which to my ear puts Dan somewhere between Jeff Buckley and Lewis Capaldi. Keep writing, my friend. The future is bright for this new seeker.
