Avery Markle - So Be It

Avery Markle is a five-piece band from Southern Worcester County in Massachusetts. Their roots-driven sound exists as a callback to the nostalgia of an era they've never known, but only ever heard of from stories told by other musicians. This band came together in August, 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, and really began to find their groove in January of 2021. Now, halfway through the decade, the members of Avery Markle have similar yet different musical tastes, which has created a wonderful blend of styles and aesthetics within their collection of songs.

"So Be It" is driven primarily through the acoustic guitar performance, matching a high energy drum pocket and a nice use of dynamic micro drops. With a variety of influences such as Joni Mitchell, Phoebe Bridgers, and The Sundays, Avery captivates audiences with a sense of organic flair and genuine exuberance. The positive energy here is quite palpable, along with a welcome backing track on banjo. Overall, this is well-written folk pop with an impeccable hand on the production side.

Here it is, coming back to me
Too young to be losing sight of things, so
I'm scared of making memories
Too old to keep me promising
