Aubrey Haddard - I Should Know Better

The city lights along Atlantic avenue; a cross-section of the filth and fever of a city mad with its own energy.

When Aubrey Haddard lifts, that voice breaking is Amy Winehouse all day long. The funky swing, the trilled vocal embellishments, even the guitar strum could be from a Winehouse gig in Kentish Town in the summer of 2004.

With her single I Should Know Better, Aubrey Haddard puts forth a pop anthem that takes heartbreak and turns it into a house party. We agree that her voice is "raw and hauntingly hypnotic". The visual for this would just be the city lights along Atlantic avenue; a cross-section of the filth and fever of a city mad with its own energy.

Aubrey Haddard comes to us from Cambridge, MA. She has a number of dates coming up along the east coast from now until mid April.
