Socal indie pop sensation Astara Black returns to the spotlight with new single "Other Side." Working again with members of the band Hembree, but in a decidedly different configuration from the production crew for Rollerbird,  "Other Side" channels an 80's-derived sensibility with a nod towards the dance-floor energy of Depeche Mode.

For me, it’s all about the process, it’s about connecting with other artists and finding dynamic common unity. That’s where the magic resides. My heart is just so full when I experience Isaac or Eric leaning in and reaching deep into their creative genius, finding a path through the song and discovering something new. This is what fuels me the most. And these guys brought their A-game.

With some last-minute help from film composer Chris Anderson on the string arrangement, "Other Side" became a beautiful collaboration and testament to letting the creative process breathe and find its own way. This toe-tapping exploration of the liminal space between overwhelm and disconnect was written in response to the political degeneration of recent months, and details the evolving consciousness, healing, and magic elixir of simply getting outside: a return to one’s birth rite as wholeness and connection.
