Following up on their hit single, Brother, Jack The Fox releases Here We Are, from their debut EP Open Water which shares stories of love, loss, and friendship. It’s a beautiful acoustic guitar to open the song, with a deeply personal voice, asking the question: is this it?

Could I be any more free, or any more kind? What of patience, and clear communication? We so seldom allow ourselves a moment to be here now; so often we are either running from the past or trying to create the future.

“No clever disguise
these hearts are yours and mine
here we are”— Jack The Fox

The slow build, the high-chest vocal power, the stylistic precision, together give the listener a small moment to pause, listen, and breathe. Appreciate the moment.

Jack The Fox is a songwriting duo from Australia. This song is featured on our CHILL NEW Songwriters playlist.
