David Unlayao is a Filipino-American singer-songwriter currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. "Summer Like That" is his first full production as a solo artist, and delivers a lighthearted pop-country vibe with a hint of soul.

Drawing influences from Bruno Mars & Thomas Rhett, David Unlayao explores the climactic feeling of finally kissing the girl of your dreams. With a continuing need for self-isolation and social distancing in the real world, "Summer Like That" creates an alternate fantasy, nostalgic for a past that is now gone, where staying up all night and watching the sunrise with your friends was something you could take for granted. With a sharp lead vocal performance that fuses modern country with RnB, "Summer Like That" is a sticky pop brew that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of being young, free, and read for anything.
