I get a little bit of Postal Service here, with the sharp lyrics and the machine groove. The video is a fantastic companion to the song and an interesting visual theme unto itself. There is a narrative to the lyrics which ties to the world as we know it; parties, the look on her face, paper cups, all-nighters.

The video creates an emotional story as a compliment, describing perhaps a limbic representation of the perceived injury. A bad relationship can be like swinging a hammer at one another. What we are left with is a sweet conversational melody and a tumbling beat that feels like falling into the arms of a synthesizer.

From the website:

Crashcaptains was featured on a Netflix documentary called "Never Quit" following bands from Europe and Mexico. They’re adrift, out on the Atlantic, somewhere between Berlin and Seattle.
