I don't think I'll ever get sick of the D'Angelo-style Wurlitzer with a swingy boom-bap. Carter's vocals get a little more on the pop side of things but that core is all dirty soul. It's a slinky and surprisingly spacious groove thing with an airy falsetto like a beat-up fog horn.

A little muted electric guitar picking gets ahead of the beat and the rest just bounces along. Carter with his new single GG explores a lo-fi indie approach to a downtempo beat that completely satisfies.

Carter is a young singer and songwriter with a bright future from Paramaribo, SURINAME. Check out his song on Netflix in the show "On My Block" episode 7.
