Bells and Robes - Jackal and the Moon

This review was originally published in July of 2018.

It's got the cryptic lyrics, the heavy-mid kick drum, and some deep swing; it's a party song. The Chinese dulcimer sound brings mystery and pomp while the belly-cry soul singing keeps the energy up.

The mix is full of percussive elements and synth pads, a bit like a cross between Flume and Bonobo. If you close your eyes you can see the glow sticks, the dance floor, the collective buzz. You'll be hip shaking before you know it.

Bells and Robes is a musical duo from Atlanta, GA.
