A talented soccer player, Alex Lynn moved from Sydney to New York on a soccer scholarship in 2017, studying Math and Physics at Long Island University. It was while she was in school on the east coast that she turned a streak of new life experiences into a series of bold, endearing folk-pop songs under the name Alex the Astronaut. In the music video for "I Think You're Great," Alex waits tables at a Melbourne café, while the terrible Australian brush fires flash into view on the news channel above. Now signed to Nettwerk Records, so much has changed since just two years ago when she was demoing song ideas in a New York dormitory.
