We are big fans of Alex O'aiza. We've written about him many times before. Following up on the success of his indie hit "Out Of My Mind," Alex is back with another buzzy alt-pop banger, this time featuring a mix of RnB groove, synth hooks, and indie attitude called "Hazy."

The third release in a run of 2020 singles on Saint In The City Records delivers a blend of smokey vibes and pop-friendly riffs, in a statement about Alex O'aiza's inability to nurture a healthy relationship in his life. "Hazy" was written as a way of coming to terms with a long list of romantic complications: whether it be personal differences, bad timing, or just the sense of being overwhelmed with life, Alex looks for meaning in what feels like a series of near-misses. A subtle sense of melancholic introspection informs O'aiza's exploration of the human need for closure, as we discover that maintaining balance and open communication between lovers is sometimes just not possible. With a swift rise to success for his burgeoning career as a songwriter, Alex O'aiza has enough to keep himself busy in the meantime. His releases this year have enjoyed support from KXT Texas, Idobi Radio, Alt 103.7 FM, and XS Manchester Radio, among many others. Get ready to hear a lot more about this young Mexican-American from the Dallas scene with an ear for catchy melody and a talent for clever and personal lyrics that shed light on the Gen Z experience.

Maybe it’s not the time nor place to
Tell you how I feel
Maybe I sit back then
You’ll never end up leaving me
Maybe it’s just my pride
Or the past times that we’ve tried
But we’re here now
In the dead of the night
Half drunk and high on feeling
