The reference that I get immediately from "Be Like Me," the latest from Ricky40, is that this sounds a little bit like the second coming of Aaron Taos. Yes, please. I love this stuff: heavy on groove, high on melody, here to have a good time. It's a fast and satisfying beat around lyrics that are shamelessly vulnerable. Written years ago, at a low point in his journey through addiction, "Be Like Me" finds Ricky40 giving advice to his younger siblings, leveraging a dark time in his life as a warning to the next generation:

I'm a mess
Yeah, I know
Said I'd change
Then I go and
Ruin everything around me

"Be Like Me" serves as a reminder that the party lifestyle is not all it's cracked up to be. But man, the hooks are great, so it doesn't sound too bad, really. I dunno, Ricky40. You kinda make it sound like it might be nice to 'be like you' just on the weekends.
