Described as 'energy transitions through the self-realizing universe,' this visual tapestry for Perfect Son's indie electronic track "Almost Mine" was shot on land and underwater in Costa Rica, Iceland, Canada, and the United States by Kristina Fellers and the team at Black Math. Singer and producer Tobiasz Biliński is Sub Pop’s first Polish artist, the result of an extended interest in Biliński’s work and the country itself from label co-founder Jonathan Poneman.
"Almost Mine" is the final track from "Cast," Biliński’s radiant and aggressive debut for Sub Pop records. It features a brooding sense of melody and a sparse electronic groove, with hints of vocoder and understated passion. A sudden and spirited contribution of analog synth finishes the song, delivered over a bed of halting chords on the acoustic piano, revealing a sense of extra-terrestrial revelation: we are thrust into a black, skyless void, traveling a million light-years only to discover the pain that never left us.
This song is featured on our Ambient playlist.
