With an intimate vibe and beautiful vocal harmony, Of Sea and Stone is an emerging Americana duo that explores the feeling of being separated from someone you love on their track "I Love You, Goodbye." Their sound ranges from joyful to solemn, hopeful to desperate, and reflects the raw reality of human interaction, as well as the distance between hope and reality that so many of us experience when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable.
Luke and Morgan met each other on Tinder, and quickly realized that they belonged on stage together. Their style of melodic, folk-inspired pop is perfect for fans of The Civil Wars, and features an acoustic guitar in front of the mix along with a dynamic combination of live drums, electric guitar, piano, and violin. The delicious chemistry between lead vocals delivers a palpable sense of melancholy, as we reluctantly acknowledge that a broken heart can lead us to the truth.
The self-titled debut album from Of Sea and Stone was engineered and recorded at Dark Horse Studios, with producer Billy Smiley in Franklin, TN. It features guitarist Brad Rice (Keith Urban), drummer Jared Kneale (Hunter Hayes, Kacey Musgraves), bassist Danny O’Lannerghty, and guitarist Brennan Smiley of The Technicolors.
This song is featured on our Rainy Day playlist.
