Leathan Milne - Thats What I Was Thinking

Think Damien Rice: acoustic guitar does all the portage, and the strings weave in and out like birds following a caravan.

Leathan Milne comes to us from Vancouver, where he likes to make what EchoNest would call Chamber Pop. Think Damien Rice: acoustic guitar does all the portage, and the strings weave in and out like birds following a caravan. The voice becomes the fearless falsetto piercing the desert as the entourage trudges behind in the sheltered dust. The dynamics are so complete, so promiscuous, that the most dangerous silence is made possible. The listener is forced to process moments of almost pure emptiness, scanning the horizon, waiting for that voice to resume the journey.

Leathan Milne extends pop elements to a bed of solid folk roots.

Six years after the release of his first record The Outcome Of Weather (2011), Milne continues to tour across Canada and the US.
