This song is beautiful because Christmas is beautiful, and Christmas is beautiful because of all the people singing their heartfelt songs.

Laurel Mitchell is an indie songwriter based out of Roanoke, Virginia. She's been singing from her earliest days, and began songwriting around the age of 12. Now at the age of 25, she writes songs about life and love while drawing inspiration from artists like Maggie Rogers and Lizzie McAlpine. "The Christmas Song" is a fun take on this Nat King Cole classic–brought to you by the whisper-song of Laurel's best breathy chanteuse, accompanied by a simple jazz hand on what sounds like a hollow-body electric guitar. Throw on a few glistening vocal harmonies.

"The Christmas Song" is both a wonderful reminder that sometimes simplicity is sexy, and also that really, it's the humanity that we love. This song is beautiful because Christmas is beautiful, and Christmas is beautiful because of all the people singing their heartfelt songs, creating a fabric of togetherness and celebration. Let's keep doing that.
