Inara George - Libérame

I have to admit, when I got this submission, I got a little giddy. The only thing that would compare is reviewing a song for Trixie Whitley. But this is not about Inara George's father, so I will only mention that I am a huge fan. Beyond that, this song resonates with me as a Spanish translation of an American pop song; I think it fills a void because that is a rare occurrence, to re-record an English-language single in Spanish. Typically it goes the other way, where Spanish-singing pop stars translate existing hits into English. Maybe that trend is shifting right now.

Inara George has a voice that truly captivates. It feels sultry, personal, and alive. The production is rich and understated, consisting of mostly just double bass, piano, and pathos.

What a story. It's a stunning video and a beautiful ballad.
