Good Morning Bedlam has been making their mark on the Midwest folk scene since releasing their debut EP "The Changeover" in 2015. This Minneapolis based trio has performed with artists such as Sawyer Fredericks, The Accidentals, and The Way Down Wanderers, with features in Bluegrass Today, State and Water, and Paste Magazine among may others. By combining elements of jazz, folk, bluegrass and Americana, they have found a signature aesthetic that leverages the power of upbeat rhythms with acoustic instrumentation and a stirring vocal presence split among the three singing members.
Husband and wife Isaak Elker (guitar/vocals) and Victoria (Tori) Elker (bass/vocals), along with Sophia Mae (violin/vocals), enjoy putting their own twist on what is often referred to simply as folk music; although for this tightly-knit trio, it is so much more. Blending hummable melodies with touches of banjo, violin, and guitar, Good Morning Bedlam matches powerful emotion with impressive musicianship. Their latest single "Salt" checks all the boxes, rounding out their latest full-length release "Lulu" with a musical experience that incorporates big dynamic shifts with infectious energy and a sense that anything is possible.
We’re desperate to connect with people through the common human experiences that we write about. People have a lot of choices of how they’ll kick back, so we intend to deliver an experience to share in whatever they need – joy, grief, anger, gratefulness, or bedlam! — Isaak Elker
