Ellis King is having her best year yet. Australia's latest export in the market of confessional singer-songwriters with a powerful presence, Ellis joins contemporaries like Lizzie McAlpine and Maisie Peters with her latest single "Crocodile Tears." This mix of acoustic guitar and pithy reminiscence comes to us from her remarkable debut EP "Better Luck," out now on Nettwerk records.

Ellis King fell in love with music from a young age, tempted by an elder sibling who started playing guitar. She went on to study music at school and then university, learning the trade as she went. Now with some solid skill sets as both songwriter and producer, she's ready to make her move. 2025 will be the year that the world engages even more deeply with the career of this young Aussie performer, who so brilliantly blends her own musicality with shimmering notes of personal reflection.

If I was a little older, I'm sure I'd know
To stay away from lovers that treat me so

We look forward to hearing more from this exciting new artist.
