Bells Deep - Parallel Reality

Somewhere on the indie alt-rock spectrum with equal helpings of irreverence, wit, and poetic timing.

It's almost weird how full of great lines this song is. Here is just a few of them.

The loudest mouths are the least informed
and the most informed are the most ignored
and all irony is dead
Hot is cold and cold is hot
the kettle proudly scolds the pot
the projection is always the same

This is the kind of soundtrack anthem you would expect in an Orwellian dystopia; sort of current moment, if you will. It's like you have to speak the secrets in code.

Bells Deep is the project of Corey Michael Bell, a Los Angeleno by way of 'an undisclosed location in the Midwest.' Fair enough. After launching in 2017 with "Eight Hundred Eighteen Degrees In The Valley Revisited", and a few more releases since then, he's back with "Parallel Reality," a song that was written to open a discussion about the cognitive dissonance, mixed messaging, and fractured discourse in today's society.

Perhaps "destined for the playlist of your favorite dive bar," this is rock music for those us with a front row seat to the decline of the American Empire. This song is full of angst and curmudgeonry, and I would not have it any other way. CHILLFILTRĀ® approved. A solid production vibe somewhere on the indie alt-rock spectrum with equal helpings of irreverence, wit, and poetic timing.
