Writer Submission
Available Now
Thanks for visiting CHILLFILTR.com. It's been a few years now since we've been publishing indie authors, but I'm happy to announce that we're back in business. The format is a little different now. Instead of charging a monthly fee for writer accounts, we are charging a submission fee–very much in line with the kind of thing you see at a place like submittable.com. In terms of the selection criteria, we are going to be very generous. My intent is to publish a new original piece in prose or poetry every week. So that means there's roughly 50 spots open per year. If you pay the submission fee, you will be put onto that schedule, and I will be able to share with you when that post will be live. I can schedule that in advance, so it's very easy to set up. To be perfectly clear: your original piece will go up, unless I see one of the red flags listed here: * the piece was obviously written with AI. * The piece celebrates hatred or violence. * The piece feels clearly political in a way that distracts from the artistry. * The piece is just objectively bad in a way that is obvious: for example, lots of repetition, misspelling, grammar inconsistencies, etc. Beyond that, I want to open up this site as a canvas for celebrating indie written art from around the world. At the moment, we are taking only English language submissions, but if you are super excited about something in a different language, feel free to ping me on socials before you pay the submission fee and I can let you know what the temperature is, so to speak. Chances are we are OK with that as well, but I want to take that on a case by case basis. That's it! One of the benefits of submitting to CHILLFILTR.com is that you will be given a permanent artist page that will serve as a place to collect all of the writing that you have posted here.
