We all have our weaknesses. Personally I’m a sucker for that 808-style bass, a sweet groove, and the club vibe without any of the crazy: this is just good music.

Sure, it’s literal west coast music, but it’s got that east coast vibe, it’s bouncy, it’s not that serious; this is a clean mix. The bass is pumping, and it’s a good time with your crew. We are talking about the real world, and the real things going on in it. Marc Payne has a way about a rhyme, and references that range from 90’s pop to modern downtempo.

Growing up in West Los Angeles, Marc Payne used hip-hop as a vessel to show his perspective on life. This song is featured on our Conscious Hip Hop playlist.
